Do you remember when you were a kid and you saw a really delicious looking cereal on TV and you would ask your mom if you could have it when you were in the grocery store but she would say no and you would end up with Cheerios? Yeah, probably not. You probably got Lucky Charms like you asked for, you lucky bastard.
Anyway, that would happen to me all the damn time. In fact, I believe my love for debate was born in the cereal aisle. I would use every spin tactic I could to convince my mom that Fruit Loops was somehow healthy. "But mom, it's part of a balanced breakfast! It has vitamin C! Don't you want me to have a healthy immune system?!" But she was very steadfast when it came to buying cereal and not a single time did she give in to my pleas.
And so a quarter century later, this video is born. I basically took the cereal fantasy I had as a child and took it to the next level. Being that I am now a big boy who can buy his own cereal, I was able to go far beyond what the childhood me could ever hope for.
Honestly, I'm glad my mom had the common sense to feed me healthier food as a child since I am now very healthy and never had to worry about the childhood obesity or type 2 diabetes that seems to be so prevalent today. I mean, I love sugar as much as the next guy, but when I ate the bowl of cereal I created in this video, the blood sugar spike made me feel dizzy and weird in a bad way.
If you were as cereal deprived as I was a kid, this video is for you! Let me know in the comments what your cereal experiences were like as a child and what your favorite cereal ever is. I would love to know! Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
